Harrison Accounting Group, Inc. (formerly Harrison, Luce & Company) originated as a certified public accounting practice founded in Oakland in 1948 by Carl W. Flegal. The firm relocated to Fremont in 1954 and has since expanded its services throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
Herbert L. Harrison joined the firm in 1965, followed by Gregory R. Harrison in 1986. Herbert served as President until his passing in August 2004, when Gregory assumed leadership. That same year, Sherry A. Matsumoto (now of Counsel) and William J. Harrison became Principals of the firm.
As the region has grown over the decades, Harrison Accounting Group has continued to evolve, providing accounting and tax services to individuals and a broad range of businesses. While headquartered in Fremont, the firm now serves clients throughout the United States.
